Clinical Focus

Dr. Cooper’s primary areas of focus include:

  • Metabolic dysfunction and insulin resistance

  • Dysglycemia and microvascular health

  • Cognitive decline and brain optimization

  • Neuropathy and metabolic-related complications

  • Structured performance optimization

His approach prioritizes upstream drivers rather than isolated symptoms, emphasizing physiological clarity, order of operations, and disciplined execution.

Education & Professional Training

Dr. Cooper has over 15 years of clinical experience and extensive postgraduate training in functional neurology and functional medicine.

His advanced education includes:

  • Over 300 hours of formal training in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute

  • Over 200 hours of advanced Functional Medicine training through Apex Energetics and the Kharrazian Institute

  • Clinical instruction and course development at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS), where he has taught neurology, advanced diagnosis, women’s health (preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum), and advanced chiropractic technique coursework

He has worked alongside physical therapists, strength coaches, pain specialists, and multidisciplinary teams, and has treated individuals ranging from professional athletes and Olympic competitors to adults navigating complex metabolic and cognitive challenges.

Philosophy of Care

Effective health optimization requires precision—doing the right things, not all of the things—and building a lifestyle to support the desired change.

Rather than layering interventions haphazardly or reacting to symptoms in isolation, Dr. Cooper focuses on identifying the highest leverage physiological driver and addressing it first. This structured approach reduces unnecessary complexity, prevents overcorrection, and creates durable change.

The objective is strategic progression built on measurable biological improvement.

Background

In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Cooper served in the United States Army, where he was part of the First Presidential Marching Platoon of The Old Guard and deployed overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This experience contributed to his disciplined, systems-based approach to both leadership and clinical care.

He currently provides Telehealth services to individuals located in Florida and produces educational content focused on metabolic health and human optimization.
